This isn’t your daddy’s rock record, although it sounds a hell of a lot like it. King Gizzard cast their spell to wake up the sleeping giant genre of 70’s psych rock and murmured some of their own spells to twist it. Full throttle from the get go this wah-wah pedal power trip through prog like D&D lyrics portrays monsters out of questions on the darker side of humanity. What really impresses me about this piece of work is how each song melds into the next so flawlessly it’s almost as if the entire albums is just one big track. The kicker, if you smash that repeat button the album never ends. Once that final note is stuck the Nonagon Infinity lives up to it’s name and seamlessly begins again.
